Really nice. How did you get it back from that tree?

Nice work! And I love the modular design of your flight hardware.

Oh yeah, cool name too!

Brad.

We had tons of kite string and rope. So we brought a few heavy sockets from a wrench set I have and tied them on the ends of the rope. Then it became a competition who could wing it up there and pull the right branches down first. After we got in untangled from the taller tree, we cut down the smaller one and it fell down with it. That was really our only option because none of the trees had branches anywhere near the ground.

I used two 2000mAh LiPo rechargeable batteries from Sparkfun. Here's a link. They aren't the cheapest things in the world, but they are very small and lightweight, but have a huge amount of power packed into them. I used two in series. I greatly over-sized them because I had no idea how long it would take me to find the payload and it really payed off in the end.

Thanks. I like to reuse boards if I can. Especially with expensive sensors and transmitters that have to be soldered down.

Since this is a new forum I'll make a suggestion. Should these 'planned launches' be moved to the 'past launches' section once they occur?
